Info of Pluto
Pluto used to be the smallest planet in our solar system until a few years ago when scientist decided that it was to small and should be considered as a dwarf planet. One reason for this decision is that Pluto is smaller than our moon and is only 1,430 miles in diameter. That makes it's diameter 729 miles smaller than that of our moon. This gives it very weak gravity.
Pluto is at the very edge of our solar system and has the largest orbit. It's orbit takes a whole 248 years to be completed. That is the eqivilant of over 3 human life times. Another unique thing about Pluto is that it's surface is mostly covered in ice because it is so far away from the sun. Pluto's temperature never goes any higher than 230 degress celsius. This makes it completely uninhabitable for humans. Also it would take a very long time to get there because it is 5,906,376,272 km away from the sun. This means that depending on where in their orbits they are, the Earth and Pluto can be between 4.2 billion and 7.5 billion miles apart.
